Ranch Overview
Queener Ridge Pheasant Company is located on 200 acres of mixed grassland and oak savanna in the beautiful rolling hills of northern Linn County. Our property consists of easy terrain and multiple habitat types allowing you and your dog(s) to get the most out of the experience.
The training areas on the ranch consist of planted crops as well as natural vegetation allowing a variety of training opportunities. Multiple water sources are available for your dogs comfort and health. We work hard to keep the blackberry patches to a minimum for both you and your dog's comfort.
Dog Training Sessions take place on one of two different areas on our ranch:
"The Main Place" is a mixture of 140 acres of short and tall grassland, planted crops and oaks. One group of up to 6 people are allowed at a time in this section.
Training times on The Main Place:
- Morning session: 9:00 AM to Noon
- Afternoon session: 1:00 to 4:00 PM
"The Northeast 40" is the smaller of the two training areas and is located across the road from the main check in site. There are 40 acres of mixed grasslands and planted grain fields. An additional 40 acres is available on request and if additonal releases are requested. This area is available for training sessions for 1 or 2 people.
Training times on The Northeast 40:
- Morning session: 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Afternoon session: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
New for 2014: CAMPING!
Want to bring a group down the night before and relax? We now have a campsite in the oaks with a kitchen area, stoves and a table for use by our clients. RV's, campers, 5th-wheels and tents are okay. We have a portable rest room on site and a fresh water well with a hand pump just a short walk from the pavilion. There isn’t a charge for camping with the purchase of a 10 bird package. All we ask is that you keep the area clean and take your trash with you when you leave. You are also welcome to shoot some trap in the late afternoon, there isn’t a charge for targets, but bring plenty of your own shells. Advance authorization is required to use the campsite. Please ask about availability when you make your reservation.
